The UK hits it out of the park with Replica Jesus out of Derby. These guys are serving up hard hitting modern sludge like veterans.

There’s hardly anything around that sounds like this anymore and yet they’re pretty damn unique in their own right. Take the sounds out of Housecore Records about 15 years ago, beat them with some Crowbar and Corrosion of Conformity, then record the whole thing in Jerry Cantrell’s basement, and that kinda covers it.

This is some generational metal that will definitely withstand the test of time. To top it off, their fully recognized debut is titled Echoes from the Expanse, which I absolutely feel warrants them a nice little moment in the spotlight if I do say so myself.
