Rimini Italy offers up an almost period perfect trip through the psychedelic era of the past with Deadpeach.
This band specializes in climbing into orbit from a gentle takeoff, where they burn away mellow psyche with high intensity grooves as they pass into the atmosphere. Once you’re there, you’re adrift among molten, wah heavy, bluesy, almost backmasked guitar solos that tie the riffs together seamlessly.
Deadpeach definitely inspire some very classic psychedelia from the mid to late 70s blended with some early 80s underground arena rock. There’s a familiarity to what they do that’s better heard than explained and brings to mind bands like Deep Purple and Foghat. During one particular drum solo I thought I was listening to Beck covering Iron Butterfly songs. You can’t explain it, you just have to hear it.
